News & Events

Welcome (back) to HEPS!

We wish to extend a warm welcome to our new families joining our wonderful school community in 2018, and welcome back to all students and families. We trust you have enjoyed a relaxing and rejuvenating summer.

Many teachers have been in over the holidays, setting up new and exciting learning environments to welcome our students back.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday the 31st of January

If you are in Foundation, be sure to check what group you are in. Group A (9am-12pm) or Group B (12:45pm-3:30).

At HEPS, we are proud to be a SunSmart school! We value our health and are aware of the potential for skin damage resulting from sun exposure.

Wide-brimmed hats are included in our uniform from September to April. You might like to apply sunscreen before school and also keep some in your bag, classroom or chair bag.

We are excited to begin our annual swimming program on Wednesday 8th November. Each student will need to be wearing their bathers, bring along a named towel and labelled goggles in a backpack. Happy swimming!

Premier's Reading Challenge

The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is now open and Heathmont East Primary School is excited to be participating.

The Challenge is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 in recognition of the importance of reading for literacy development. It is not a competition; but a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by 8 September 2017.

Children from Foundation to Level 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers. Children from Year 3 to Year 10 are challenged to read 15 books.
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and can choose to have their name included on the online Honour Roll. If you would like your child‘s name to appear on the Honour Roll, please sign the attached form and return it to your school.
